The City of Pico Rivera has four established commissions: Planning, Sister City, Parks and Recreation, and Veterans. These commissions play a vital role in providing the City Council with valuable insights on a wide range of issues affecting the quality of life in Pico Rivera. Their advisory duties and responsibilities are broad-based, designed to gather citizen input and offer policy recommendations specific to their areas of focus. 

Commission members serve two-year terms, with terms expiring every two years in the month of December.

All City Council-appointed commission terms expire in December 2025. Applications for the new two-year term (December 2025 – December 2027) are now open.

Deadline to apply: Monday, November 10, 2025

Appointments will be made at the City Council meeting on December 9, 2025.

About the Board
The Mobilehome Park Rental Review Board is a five-member public body responsible for reviewing and ruling on applications submitted by mobilehome park owners, including:

  • Capital Improvement Pass-Throughs – when owners seek to recover costs of eligible improvements.
  • Fair Return Rent Increases – when owners request rent increases above standard limits to ensure a constitutionally fair return.


This Board plays a critical role in preserving the long-term affordability of mobilehome park living while also recognizing the rights of park owners to maintain and improve their properties.
